Kvinnen av jorden was created with a vision to decolonize, demystify and to reconnect us with nature through wild herbs and local infusions.

Decolonizing means shifting away from colonial practices by embracing local plants instead of importing sacred and endangered species from the Global South. It’s about honoring lost indigenous traditions while acknowledging and respecting the people who have preserved this knowledge through generations. 

Demystifying is about breaking down barriers and making knowledge accessible to all. Instead of acting as gatekeepers, we aim to inspire others to incorporate local plants into their daily lives. We focus on plants that are abundant, resilient, and wanting to be picked, while refining our products and sharing lost knowledge. The goal is to empower everyone to reconnect with nature’s diversity.

Reconnecting with nature begins by recognizing humans as an inseparable part of it. We are not above nature; we are nature. Yet, centuries of superiority, oppression, and exploitation have alienated us from this truth. Reconnection requires challenging the systems that perpetuate this separation, resisting exploitation and appropriation, and actively fostering a sense of belonging with the natural world.
